About Me
Echoes of the Void is the solo project of Swedish multi-instrumentalist and composer Peter Silverhjärta — a dark, progressive musical vision developed in collaboration with several musicians across multiple albums.
The project moves through progressive rock, gothic metal, cinematic art rock and shadowed theatrical expression. Its emotional landscape draws from beauty, sorrow, weight and unrest, with echoes of a wide range of artists and bands such as Kate Bush, Scar Symmetry, Genesis, Rush, Hans Zimmer, Paradise Lost, Amorphis, ELOY, Alice Cooper, KISS, Marillion and Marilyn Manson.
Lyrically, Echoes of the Void explores uncertainty, loss and the quiet collapse of meaning in a world increasingly shaped by distance, acceleration and systems beyond human scale.
The music does not offer comfort or easy answers. It inhabits the space between grief and resistance — uncompromising, melancholic and existentially dark.
Peter Silverhjärta has been active since the mid-1980s, moving through classical guitar, hard rock, film music and progressive metal. With Echoes of the Void, these paths converge into a deeply personal body of work.
